Dr
Sharmila Datta Banik passed B. A from
Chakdaha College in 1997 and ranked first class first in M. A. In 1999 from
Kalyani University. She was awarded Ph.D in 2007 from the same University.
She has completed a Minor Research Project sponsored by UGC entitled '
State of Education in Murshidabad , A District of West Bengal : 1947-77.
Her edited books are - Many Faces of Post Independent Bengal, The Legacy of
Mahatma Gandhi  and Situating India in
the Globalised World.
She is the author of the book ' Harish Chandra Mukhopadhyay : Jibon O
Manan' ( in press)
