Nilofar Yasmin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of English in Sripat Singh College. She joined this institution in 2015. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D from the University of Gour Banga. She has participated and presented research papers in various National and International Seminars and Conferences. She has also been a Resource Person in the State-Level and International Seminars. She has chaired a technical session at a National Seminar held in Aligarh Muslim University, Centre, Murshidabad.

• She was awarded a scholarship and a certificate for securing the highest position in 2004 (Madhyamik) from the school. She was also a proud recipient of the prestigious Malina Swriti Padak(2004) and the Award for Mannerism (2003) for her consistency and sincerity in academics.  
• She was awarded a certificate and a memento as the topper of Jangipur Sub-division in the Higher Secondary Examination in 2006. 
• She was awarded a Certificate of Merit for her Academic Excellence in 2009 (graduation) from Women's College, Aligarh Muslim University.
• She qualified for UGC-NET at her very first attempt in the year 2011 while studying for her M.A.
• She was a recipient of the Maulana Azad National Fellowship in 2012.
• She joined Sripat Singh College at the age of 25 as an Assistant Professor.
