About

Dr. Roushan Islam completed his entire schooling from K.N.College school, Berhampore. After that he opted Botany Hons. in his higher studies. He stood first class first in both hons. and masters examination of Kalyani University and received gold medal from honorable governor of West Bengal in 2010 at the annual convocation of the university for his academic exellence. He qualified Joint CSIR-UGC NET in 2011 and secured AIR 42. He started his research in Kalyani University in Mycology and Plant Pathology, though he had specialization in Cytogenetics and Plant Breeding in his masters. He qualified WBPSC and joined as Assistant Professor in Botany at A.P.C. Roy Govt. College in 2015. He also served Hili Govt. College in 2016 on getting transfer. Later, he qualified WBCSC and joined Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj in the fag end of 2016. He was awarded with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in 2018. Presently, he is acting as an Assistant Professor (Stage-II) in the department of Botany, Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj. He has a total of 22 publications under his belt in reputed national and international journals. He is highly dedicated to his profession and teaches his students with utmost passion.
