TRISHNA SUBBA
ABOUT ME
Trishna Subba serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of English, Sripat Singh
College, Murshidabad, West Bengal and a Research Scholar at the Dept of English in SNDT Women’s University,
Mumbai. She has completed Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Hyderabad in 2019 and earned her Bachelor’s degree from
Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in 2017. The University of Hyderabad awarded her the SC/ST Gold Medal for securing CGPA 8 in MA Course. She has cleared UGC-Net in 2019. She was also a recipient of National Fellowship for Schedule Tribe in 2023. Her academic interests include Post-Colonial Studies, Marginal Literature, and Cultural Studies.Her area of research covers the contemporary Nepali literature from India concerning the Gorkhaland Movement. She is an enthusiastic scholar who has published in national and international journals and contributed to several edited book chapters. She has
also presented papers at various national and international conferences. Her works critically engages with the lived experiences and socio-political concerns of Indian Nepalis in India.
