The Department of Computer Science at Sripat Singh College was founded in 2002 as a general course. Following the 2018-19 UGC-recommended Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) curriculum and semester pattern, the department introduced a major (Honours) paper in the 2023-24 session, aligning with the National Education Plan course structure. The department is staffed by two faculties and provides comprehensive laboratory facilities that cover the curriculum. Students also have access to the resources of the Central Library. Engaging in diverse extra-curricular activities such as seminars, webinars, wall magazine publications, educational excursions, cultural programs, annual sports meets, and NCC/NSS activities, the department enriches the learning experience. Notably, several students from the department have successfully qualified in exams like JECA and other entrance tests for pursuing Master's degrees, while others have embarked on careers in both Government and Private sectors.
