In addition to the conventional lecture method, the department encourages students to learn through the presentation of short seminar papers, group discussions, question and answer sessions etc. in the presence of teachers. Teachers look at each student's weaknesses and strengths in preparing for university exams. Remedial classes are held if needed. Students remain in constant contact with the department even after graduation for personal and academic counseling. Teachers participate in UGC sponsored seminars and research projects supported by college and are engaged in various administrative and organizational activities.

As per the recommendation of NEP-2020, the department of the respective college has been asked to undertake various activities i.e. Faculty and Student Exchange Programme, Seminar, Add-on Courses, Study Visits, Mentor-Mentee interactions, Parent- Teacher Meeting, Group discussion, Tutorial and Remedial Classes and so on. The department has successfully conducted the Faculty and Student Exchange Programme, followed by all the previously mentioned programmes. Special Activities: 2nd year Honours students organize Freshers’ Welcome for the new entrants and Farewell for 3rd year students every year. Educational tours are arranged periodically.
